At Monday’s Cabinet meeting Members approved plans to:

  • Encourage businesses to employ more apprentices in Norfolk – boosting young people’s skills and future earnings prospects - and unleashing talent that benefits employers and the economy at a time when recovery is gearing up.

  • Spend £11 million improving Norfolk’s roads – filling and preventing potholes and implementing important road safety schemes. (starting in the west!)

  • Spend the £1.5 million flood reserve fund - set up after the flooding which affected so many just before Christmas last year

Plus, an announcement that a campaign is being launched by NCC, urging the Government to fund the dualling of the A47.
